Thomas Flowers comes to KPD with years of litigation experience from case assignment to resolution in general litigation matters including trucking/transportation, premises, construction/subcontracting, toxic tort, civil rights, nursing home, and medical malpractice.
Most recently, Thomas spent the last several years providing services to a national healthcare service client on civil rights and medical malpractice matters where he garnered success for his client in the Northern District of Illinois. Thomas’ attention to detail and skills in legal drafting resulted in multiple dismissals at the summary judgment and pleading stages of litigation, resulting in success for his national client.
Recent success based on motion practice (pleading and summary judgment stage) as well as strategic filings such as well-reasoned Rule 11 letters and discussions with Plaintiff’s counsel to dismiss matters or force desirable settlements for a national client.
Involved with supporting non-profit Playmakers Laboratory, providing creative arts programming for underserved children in the CPS system. Children engage in weeks-long writing programs which result in stories that are transformed and brought to life by Playmakers Laboratory artists.
