Sydney L. Stankovich is an associate in Kopka Pinkus Dolin’s Farmington Hills office and focuses on defense litigation with a concentration in PIP, premises liability, and bodily injury cases. Sydney enjoys finding creative solutions to legal problems for her clients.

Sydney joined KPD during law school and has worked as both a legal apprentice and paralegal at the firm, gaining valuable knowledge of insurance defense litigation. In addition, Sydney previously worked at the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office where she managed her own docket of cases from arraignment to sentencing.

Sydney received her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While there, she was awarded the Julia Lamber Award for her exceptional performance assisting clients in the school’s clinical programs. During law school, Sydney served as the Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal for Global Legal Studies and was heavily involved with pro bono opportunities, graduating with more than 300 hours of pro bono service. Sydney also studied at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where she received a Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Psychology and a minor in Crime & Justice. While there, she was a teacher’s assistant, James B. Angell Scholar, and a University Honors recipient.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing tennis, rooting for the Detroit Lions, and spending time with friends and family.
