R. Alex Clar
Alex Clar is licensed to practice law in Michigan and California and is currently practicing at Kopka Pinkus Dolin’s Farmington Hills location. His focus is on insurance defense and a variety of other matters.
Prior to joining KPD, Alex worked for other insurance defense firms concerning No-Fault, PIP, toxic tort defense, and workers compensation. In addition, Alex has represented various small businesses on commercial issues and contract and fee disputes. Before returning to the Midwest where he grew up, Alex lived for several years in Hong Kong, where he taught torts and common law at the University of Hong Kong as an adjunct lecturer.
Outside of work, Alex currently serves on a volunteer board for the City of Farmington Hills. He also previously served on the board for the Michigan Asian Pacific Islander Bar Association (MAPABA).
