Nathanial focuses his law practice on workers’ compensation defense throughout Indiana. He is a native Hoosier, and raised in a rural community, in Northern Indiana, specifically the Winamac area.
In addition to his workers’ compensation defense, Nathanial has experience representing clients throughout Starke, Pulaski, Marshall, LaPorte, Fulton, Jasper, Newton, Porter, and Lake Counties in the areas of family law and private hire criminal defense. He also served as pauper counsel for Pulaski County, Starke County, and Knox City Court and as a public defender for the Pulaski County Veterans Treatment Court.
Nathanial received the “Attorney of the Year” Award for the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in 2018 (New Mexico), and also received the “Young Attorney of the Year” Award from the Twelfth Judicial District Bar Association in 2018 (New Mexico).
Among his successes, Nathanial prosecuted felony HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) cases in both Otero and Lincoln Counties including possession, trafficking, and distribution of controlled substances as well as prosecuting felony and misdemeanor DWI, domestic violence, and various other cases with a caseload of approximately 250 active cases. He represented the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office for both the Otero and Lincoln County Adult Drug Court programs. While a prosecutor in the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in New Mexico, he acted as first chair in approximately 40 jury trials and 3 bench trials and acted as second chair in approximately 12 jury trials.
He graduated with distinction in December 2008 from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. He graduated cum laude in May 2013 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Besides practicing law, interests include auto racing (watching only – not actually participating!) and relaxing with friends and family.
