Meera M. Ghetia is an associate attorney located in Illinois, focused on defense litigation, with experience in areas such as automobile accidents, products liability, premises liability, and wrongful death. She also has experience working with clients, including public entities, against discrimination, and civil rights violations. Her comprehensive background equips her to skillfully represent clients and advocate on their behalf.
Prior to joining Kopka Pinkus Dolin as an associate, Meera worked in the firm’s Lexington, Kentucky location as a summer intern where she attended and actively participated in depositions, mediations, pre-trial conferences, and court hearings. Additionally, she as a law clerk at the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions, Public Protection Cabinet, and a legal assistant at both Covington & Burling LLP and Cohen and Cohen Personal Injury in Washington D.C.
During law school, Meera earned the Peter Perlman Scholarship, Merit Scholarship, and Provost Fellowship; was the Health Law Society President, and the Woman’s Law Caucus Treasurer. She was also the recipient of the Best Appellate Brief Award and served as the Moot Court Writing Chair.
Meera is multi-lingual and speaks Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Spanish, and American Sign Language, in addition to English. She is actively involved in her community and is a regular volunteer for National Patient Advocacy Foundation, promoting open enrollment for health insurance by educating patients about coverage options.
