Kristina is a skilled litigator focusing her practice on insurance liability and defense, handling cases ranging from first-party PIP, third-party automobile negligence, premises liability, and property loss.
Kristina has represented her clients as first- and second-chair attorney at trial, adding several substantial no-cause wins for her clients. She often delves into complex questions of law to deliver positive appellate results including an impressive result on an emergency appeal on a claim that was originally valued at $25 million. Due to her persuasive arguments to the Michigan Court of Appeals, she prompted the plaintiff to seek a settlement for substantially less money.
Prior to joining Kopka Pinkus Dolin in Michigan, Kristina worked as a legal aid attorney representing impoverished and elderly clients and freelanced with large law firms and Fortune 500 legal departments, consulting on various issues surrounding document discovery and production. She expanded her experience at a boutique insurance firm where she handled a large docket of cases.
Kristina received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics & Policy from Michigan State University and remained in East Lansing to earn her Juris Doctor at MSU College of Law. In law school, she served as the Executive Editor of the Journal of Animal and Natural Resource Law and interned with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, where she researched policy issues, drafted court documents for lawyers and opinions for administrative law judges and wrote environmental “Public Participation Principles” that were incorporated into a proposed State Environmental Justice Plan. During her undergraduate studies, she studied abroad in Australia and New Zealand, and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and the Gamma Sigma Alpha (National Greek Honor) Fraternity.
