World Down Syndrome Day!
Today, the 21st day of the 3rd month, we recognize World Down Syndrome Day. The date was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Laurie Vasquez, of our Farmington Hills office, shared the story below about the date’s personal significance to her family, as well as how she intends to spend the day. We look forward to reading more about Laurie’s story in the next issue of the KPD Connect. Thank you for sharing!
